Roger started drumming for The Salvation Army in the 1960s with the Norwich Citadel Band. He soon moved on to play across UK & Europe with the band Good News. Rogers takes great delight in “trumping aspiring claims to fame” from other drummers by informing them he backed Sir Cliff Richard & played at such venues as Wembley, Trafalgar Square, and the Royal Albert Hall. He co-founded Accent in 1974, building a unique on stage rapport with John which became the trademark of the band. Recently, when not contributing to Pride of Dunbar tracks on vocals, and occasional Accent gigs, Roger has returned to his roots of playing drums & percussion with Norfolk Fellowship Brass. |
